Does any of these BURNOUT signs sound familiar to you? Heavy WORKLOADS and deadline PRESSURES are a fact of managerial life. Who doesn’t feel #overwhelmed or stretched thin sometimes? But when relentless #workstress pushes you into the debilitating state we call #burnout, it is a serious problem, affecting not just your own performance and #wellbeing, both on the job and off, but also that of your team and your organization.


Here are 3 ways that helps me to prevent burnout:


🌻1 #Prioritizeselfcare


It’s essential to replenish your physical and #emotionalenergy, along with your capacity to #focus, by prioritizing good #sleephabits, nutrition, #exercise, social connection, and practices that promote #equanimity and well-being, like #meditating, #journaling, and enjoying nature.
If you’re having troubling squeezing such activities into your packed schedule, give yourself a week to assess exactly how you’re spending your time.


🌻2 #Shiftyourperspective


You must take a close look at your #mindset and #assumptions. What aspects of your situation are truly fixed, and which can you change?


Altering your perspective can buffer the negative impact of even the inflexible aspects.


If #exhaustion is a key problem, ask yourself which tasks—including critical ones—you could #delegate to free up meaningful time and #energy for other important work. Are there ways to reshape your job in order to gain more control or to focus on the most #fulfilling tasks? 


🌻3 Reduce exposure to job #stressors


This involves resetting the #expectations of colleagues, clients, and even family members for what and how much you’re willing to take on, as well as ground rules for working together.


You may get #pushback. But #doubters must know that you’re making these changes to improve your long-term #productivity and protect your #health.

It’s important to know that self-discipline is NOT an innate skill that only a select few possess. It's a learned behavior that almost anyone can develop with practice and the right strategies.

Life is a mix of good times AND a ton of challenges, which will be presented to us in the form of ‘problems’. When the going gets rough, giving up can feel VERY tempting.


However, giving up would mean certain and immediate DEFEAT. The only chance one has is to #keeptrying - ONE more time.


Continuing our efforts is the only guaranteed way to #success. #ThomasEdison was the perfect example of determination and #tenacity.


His #quote, “ Our greatest #weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to #succeed is always to try just one more time.” is what Edison lived by.


One of his endeavors was to create an incandescent bulb with a carbon filament. It is said that he failed 10,000 times before succeeding💡


In his own words, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”


Often you will come across others who will ridicule you for your passion. They do not know your story nor have they been in your shoes. Remember, YOU have the power to not let unkind and unfair criticism affect you.


If your goal takes time to #achieve, then break it into smaller tasks and targets. As you reach each milestone in your journey, celebrate them! It will boost your enthusiasm and give your #determination a renewed vigor. Every little accomplishment is a small step to your journey. Brick-by-brick is how you achieve success✨


Some might see ‘success’ as an overnight achievement, but the wise know that Rome was not built in a day.
