Have you ever wondered why is it that most of us can so easily complain, get angry at life, and forget our blessings when things don’t go our way? If life feels “unkind” at the moment, here are 5 things we sometimes take for granted unknowingly, "little" things we can be thankful for today: Perhaps some of you may laugh when you see my list of 5 things to be grateful for today. But truthfully, it isn’t a laughing matter at all.
There are SO MANY PEOPLE in the world who lack fresh air to breathe, having heart failure, can’t afford a phone, can’t afford clothes, and have no opportunity to receive education. Being grateful doesn't make our problems go away, neither should it be used to make us ignorant toward reality or pretend that problems don’t exist. Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. Practising gratefulness, is: ✨ Us CHOOSING to be mindful, to see the good in our every day and in the people we have in our lives. ✨ Us CHOOSING to accept there are things we simply can’t control (limitations) and there are things that ARE (possibilities and change). ✨ Us CHOOSING to shift our mindset to one of positivity and growth. To focus on actively doing our part to make our life the best it can be, instead of blaming life for not giving it to us. ✨ Us CHOOSING to realize that despite whatever hardships we have faced in life, we are blessed - in one way or another (life is not ALWAYS bad!) ✨ Us CHOOSING to not take anyone or anything for granted. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Gratitude turns what we have into enough🌻 What is one thing or person you are thankful for today? Have you ever been to a networking event and you really want to speak to a VIP, but then you talk yourself out of it? Or you find yourself at a party, standing around alone wishing you could approach that cute girl or guy, but you think.. what's the point? It won't go well. You are not good enough. Your biggest problem isn't that you're not enough, it is that you don't know how to communicate with ease and confidence. In this video, I'm gonna share with you 3 steps to help you make a great first impression and to speak to anyone anytime. These steps are the steps that have helped me to transform from a person who had really low self-esteem (social anxiety) to having the confidence to speak to others with ease, and even - gave me the needed confidence to become a finalist in Miss Universe Malaysia and Miss Asia Pacific World. If you've been struggling with low self-confidence for a long time, do be patient with yourself. Building confidence and learning how to speak to others with confidence is a skill that takes time and practice. It may seem a little challenging in the beginning, but definitely doable. Are you holding on to someone or something that is draining your #energy or making you #unhappy? Letting go is a scary thought. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. Be it: -Ending a bad #relationship -Ending a #friendship -Ending a #business that isn’t working out -Changing a course at #school -Leaving a #job that sucks all your energy -Quitting #smoking or any vice The fear can be so paralyzing that it pushes us into inaction and stay in our current #toxic situation, even if it means sacrificing our own happiness. The reason for this is because we humans are creatures of #habit. We like to feel safe, have structure, be in our #comfortzone. Who likes to live in a constant state of uncertainty? NO ONE! But here’s the thing, this state of chaos and uncertainty comes as we unlearn or let go of unhealthy habits and people, while learning #newhabits, adding a different structure to our daily life. Gently remind yourself that it is only in the BEGINNING stage. Once we get the hang of a new way of life, things WILL get better and easier. So if you find it hard to #letgo, ask yourself this: Is it more important to you, to stay in your current comfort zone, even if it means being unhappy for more years to come? OR… Is it more important to you to take charge of your life and create that #happiness you deserve to enjoy? Are you willing to embrace a little uncertainty and challenges, to allow #healing to take place and welcome new #growth, new #possibilities? What’s your choice going to be? Use the SMART concept and make a plan. Check if your goals are really achievable and how. 2 Be #dedicated, driven, and disciplined. Stop saying later, #doitnow. If you aren’t driven enough, maybe your dreams aren’t as important to you as you thought it was. 3 Seek help and guidance. Whether it is doing self-research or getting guidance from friends or from a professional, if you can learn from those who’ve made it, to help make your journey toward your goals a little faster and smoother, why not? 4 Remember you’ll only get to live this moment ONCE. Even if people start to doubt you, be your own best cheerleader.
