Growth in the Mud: How to Move Forward Without Getting Stuck

Yesterday, I lived that quote — LITERALLY😱 I was caught in the rain just minutes before boarding a 10-hour overnight bus ride. My clothes were soaked. My luggage bag decided to break apart. The bus was late. There was no internet, and the moment I stepped on, I realized, I can forget about trying to get some quality sleep — thanks to a rowdy group of passengers who brought the nightclub vibes with them.


I sat there — cold, wet, uncomfortable, exhausted — wondering why me?
Why does it feel like everything that could go wrong... did?


But in that moment, I realized: asking “why” won’t change the rain. But how I show up in the storm will define me.


So I took a really deep breath and reminded myself: this too shall pass.


No one grows without some discomfort.


No one becomes resilient without a little rain.


And it is exactly through these moments of discomfort and pain, that we learn to appreciate the GOOD moments even MORE.


Our power comes from how well we navigate the chaos — not how well we avoid it.


If you’re walking through your own version of mud right now, I hope this reminds you: You are STRONGER than the storm.
