#2 GIVE YOURSELF TIME
Are you a big time dreamer like me who wants to achieve it all in the shortest time possible?
I can totally relate the feeling of wanting to achieve it all as fast as you can. However, every big dream that's worth achieving needs time.
Don’t over load yourself and tell yourself you’re gonna achieve 10 big goals in 3 months. That's just not realistic and you're only setting yourself to get disappointed.
Break it down into maybe 1 big goal over the course of 2-3 months (or more if needed), then aim for 2-3 smaller goals on a monthly basis.
This way, you increase your chances of making progress, seeing results, and staying motivated towards your big end goal.
#3 EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
Things happen, plans change, ideas evolve.
Don’t set yourself a hard fast rule that your goals can only be achieved in a certain way and it must be done within a certain time frame.
Give space for the unexpected and to enjoy the journey towards reaching your destination.
For example, you read a lot about the Keto diet and you believe that come 1st of Jan 2020, it is the best diet plan for you to lose weight. But after a few months, you realize it isn't working for you as effectively as how you envisioned and realized that instead, a vegan diet works better for your overall energy levels and gives you better results in losing weight.
In these trying and frustrating moments, don't give in easily. Because now you know what doesn't work. All you have to do is have the courage to try again using a different, more effective method that works best for you.
#4 ELIMINATE GIVING UP AS AN OPTION
If the really goal means a lot to you, don't be easily discouraged. And if you don't reach your goal fast enough, don't ever think that you are wasting your time.
Think about it - time was not wasted. You were trying something. It's not like you sat around and did nothing.
Have courage to keep trying and keep going. Giving up is easy, you already know what the result is. But trying takes courage.
Even if you don't get to your desired destination, you'd at least have gained some valuable experiences. Plus, you never know that by going down a detour, you may just end up discovering a whole new magical path you never knew existed!
By choosing not to give up, when you become old and grey, you can look back in life and be proud of yourself, knowing that no matter what fears you felt, you had the courage to at least try.
