In an increasingly fast-paced and uncertain world, planning for the future can seem overwhelming. However, you don’t have to let an uncertain landscape stall your life and organization plans. Rather than feel stuck, here are some strategies that you can implement to keep your life moving forward even in uncertain times.
#1 STAY FLUID
As you know, change is the only constant. What used to work, may not work anymore. Rather than fight it, embrace it. You know change will happen, so why frustrate yourself by resisting it? The best thing we can do is to stay fluid and don't be so hard on ourselves to make sure we make the right move.
Think about it, even weather forecasts can't get it right all the time. Who can ever be 100% sure of the weather? Or about anything for that matter? The only way is to have a crystal ball. Which of course if you happen to have one, let me know.
But back to serious matters, just because you can't tell what the future holds, doesn’t mean that you simply give up.
Make changes if needed whether it’s in your business or how you run your daily family routine and do it without hesitation.
If you fear it might not work out, put it this way, something already isn’t working, which was the trigger to you questioning your current situation in the first place, isn't it? Thus whatever you are doing, can only either make the situation better or remain as it. So why fear trying something new?

#2 IT'S OK NOT TO KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS
I really understand, you want to be a leader and you want to be there for your family and your team, be a reliable pillar of support for all those you care about. But, guess what? No one ever knows what the future brings, especially now when we're living in such dark times.
Practice self-compassion. Just do your best with what you’ve got, trust yourself that you are doing your best. Share your plans clearly with your team and family members, then work towards realizing those plans with them.
If looking too far into the future scares you, just take baby steps. But keeping moving. Staying still will only make you feel more lost and uncertain about your present moment and the future.
Yes, you can’t plan or control 100% of the things that will happen, but, there are definitely things that are within your control to start planning right now. Come up with strategies you can use at this moment to help shape the future you’d like to achieve.
#3 ELIMINATE NEGATIVITY
Sadly, it is during adversity that you will see the true colors of people. Whatever happens, don’t blame yourself if you know you are already giving your best.
If someone doesn’t know how to support you and be empathetic towards your needs, challenges, or frustrations, perhaps it’s times you show this person the door.
If it’s family? Then take time to speak to this person. If let's say it's time and space that you need to focus and do important work, then talk to your partner about sharing time slots in a day for each of you to get things done. Eg: you could work in your office space in the mornings and your partner in the afternoons.
Make it fair for everyone to pursue their desired goals or do the things that they love. Chances are, you could turn your loved one into becoming more supportive of your plans and reduce friction at home.
