Most of us, if not all of us, probably feels like there is something about our external looks or physical figure that we want to change due to a feeling of social pressure, a desire to feel accepted, a need to conform to the standards of beauty deemed by others, or maybe, due to negative, unkind, and condemning criticism being thrown at us.
I know people who are constantly in the pursuit for more beauty, more youthful looks, a more voluptuous body, more more more... This illusive and never ending pursuit can drive anyone who's too focused on external beauty to go mentally crazy.
Good news. You can finally learn to stop this stressful chase, learn to see, accept, and love the true beauty you are naturally born with.
Truth be told, I for one have definitely felt this way about my looks and my body at one point or other in my life. What about you? Have you ever felt the need to be more beautiful, or your looks are simply not good enough?
If yes, then my first YouTube show today is exactly for you. In this show, I address the common 4 voices that needs to be addressed in order to open your eyes to truly see, recognize, love, and accept all the beauty you already own, to start appreciating your uniqueness and self-worth.
The Risks of Ignoring Internal & External "Voices"
Depending on how long you've been dealing with these voices and how badly you've been entangled in them, it can feel downright wrong to break out of the conventional way of thinking and doing things. Being honest about the way you think about yourself can feel offensive, selfish, or just unimportant.
Take a minute to ask yourself: when you reach the end of your life, will you regret living a life filled with self-hate?
Will you recall lost opportunities and dreams unfulfilled? Will you think of all the negative self-talk you told — to yourself and to others to stay safe, comfortable, and likable?
My guess is yes. That’s not a risk worth taking.
Handle 4 Toxic "Voices" To Recognize Your Self-Worth Now
In the video below, you’ll get a look into the 4 internal and external voices most of us experience to a certain degree and the strategies to help you deal with them, thus creating a life that’s filled with more self-acceptance and love. It's based on my own experiences of dealing with super low confidence for about 20 years, how I overcame it, and was even able to boost my confidence high enough to join 2 well known beauty pageants - one of them being Miss Universe Malaysia.
As you reflect on the voices while watching the video, don’t just think your answers in your head, write them down. Seeing and reading your words gives you extra motivation to make change. If you don’t have a pen and paper handy, type them out in the comments below.
