THE MAGIC WORD


❌ "NO" ❌


  • Your boss wants you to do more in less time

  • Your family wants you to give them more quality time and attention

  • Your countless friends are asking you out to birthday parties and events

  • To top that all off, there's a string of guys asking you out on a date, each demanding a portion of your time which is already almost non-existent!


I understand that you might feel saying "no" will

  • make your boss look at you in a negative way

  • make your family disappointed

  • make your friends unhappy


Here's the cold hard truth... You and I can not and will not ever be able to please everyone.


It is simply not possible. And anyway, why should you?



What I'd like you to please do for your own sanity and happiness is a small and simple mindset shift.


Know your limits and be brave to say "no" when necessary.


Saying "no" tactfully to people, things, or events that demand more than what you are capable of giving doesn't make you a failure, a bad person or lazy.


You and I are only human. You're not a robot! We all have only 24 hours in a day. We all need time for sleep, eating, and especially self-care.


Rather than think saying "no" is a bad thing, see it instead as you being brave enough to know your limits and to protect your own mind, body, and soul.
