Apart from managing #stress, which all of us face on different scales, here are 5 small tangible practices you can take starting today to drastically improve your #energy levels for 2024! 1 Move your body throughout the day Example: Be more active around the house, take the stairs instead of the lift, and stand instead of sit when working. Small changes, big effects! 2 Be mindful of your #screentime Try applying the “20-20-20 rule” to tackle tiredness. When working on a laptop, take an every 20 mins (set a timer), look at an object 20 feet away for 20 secs to give your eyes a chance to relax. 3 Practice good sleep hygiene This means having a regular #bedtimeroutine and making the room conducive for deep sleep. 4 Limit #caffeine (Don’t hate me!) When feeling tired, it is tempting to make a 3rd or 4th cup of coffee later in the day. However, drinking too much caffeine can have a paradoxical effect, leaving you #lethargic. Gradually (don’t make a drastic cut back) reduce the amount of caffeine in your diet until you find what works best for you. 5 Stay #hydrated Experts recommend that males consume 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of water daily and females 11.5 cups (2.7 liters). Not staying hydrated can cause #fatigue and irritability.
