CONFESSION: I hesitate and DOUBT myself at times. Result? INACTION😐 Can you relate?
The thing that helps to kick my a** into taking action, even if they are baby steps, is reminding myself that our TIME on this Earth is NOT infinite. Every second spent on #selfdoubt, is a second wasted on pursuing what our hearts actually long for. Any time you feel your #fear pushing you into not taking action on your #goals, try these 3 steps: ✏️1. Do a personal #SWOT analysis SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, #Opportunities, and Threats. A SWOT Analysis a valuable tool that will give you a thorough lay of the land in which you operate. It will give you the knowledge you need to make sure you can properly lay out your goal game plan. ✏️2. Make a game plan How to get from where you’re at now, to where you WANT to be. Set your goal using the S.M.A.R.T. framework (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound). ✏️3. Take that FIRST step! Even if your head might say otherwise because it is in a #fightorflight mode, thinking it is trying to keep you ‘safe’ from the possible unknown Could you end up making a mistake? Maybe. But what if the steps you take, turns out to be WAY more amazing than you could possibly imagine? It’s really hard to be on social media and NOT compare yourself to others😶 Your body isn’t good enough, your wardrobe isn’t trendy enough, and your house isn’t posh enough. It might even make you feel like you aren’t enough.
I’m talking to myself too. I’m totally fascinated and intrigued by how these beautiful, successful people live their lives. If I’m not careful, I can wind up spending hours in a day, scrolling through the lives of these people I may or may not even know, and it leaves me feeling not so great about myself. Comparisons steal our joy, our pay checks and our sanity. If we don’t stop comparing ourselves to others, we will constantly spend money and mental energy just trying to keep up! It is the easy way out, but by doing so, we are depriving ourselves of creating a more positive future for ourselves by succumbing to our challenges in life. We will never truly know, just how #RESILIENT we really are, what AMAZING PEOPLE we could cross paths with, people who might just totally change the course of our lives in unexpected ways, or what beautiful OPPORTUNITIES we could welcome into our lives, if we keep within our #comfortzone and never dare to test our boundaries. What comes to mind when you hear the word 'abundance'? In most people, when they think about #abundance, and how others achieve it, it is easy to imagine someone falling asleep at their desk and never leaving their office.
