3 Tips To Live More By Doing Less27/9/2021 Is doing MORE really better? 👀 Not saying being lazy is the answer, but doing more, more, MORE, without keeping in mind our #mentalwellbeing, will cause us to lose out on truly living. We’ll go into auto pilot mode, take the people we love for granted, and lose out on important moments. The key is really to find that #balance that is just right for YOU. Not doing too much to a point that you feel #overwhelmed with #anxiety or to do too little that you’re lazing around, wasting precious time away. Here are a few tips on how you can do less to #livemore: 1 REDUCE YOUR TO-DO LIST. Trying to do too much in hopes to get “more” done can be counterproductive. KIV what you can, remove unnecessary to-dos, and make sure you stay laser-focused when getting work done. The more distracted you are, the less #productive you’ll be. TIP💡Turn off all social media notifications while working. 2 SCHEDULE TIME FOR “ME TIME”. Make yourself a priority. Schedule time for #selfcare or do the things that make you happy! Once upon a time, I used to pack my schedule to the brim with clients, family, and what have you. ZERO time for relaxation, "me time" or proper sleep. Result? An exhausted woman who was sometimes short-tempered and always felt there never was enough time in a day ⏰ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The more you give yourself permission to #rejuvenate, the more #successful your day will be! 3 GO AFTER YOUR GOALS… BUT NOT ALL AT ONCE. Similar to your to-do list, if you try to go after too many #goals simultaneously, you may end up achieving NOTHING. Back when I was a teen suffering from super #lowselfesteem, I always wished I was someone else, living a different life. Thinking back, I can laugh at my own silliness. Because actually, there is NOTHING to be jealous about! More than that, when we get caught up envying others, we lose sight of our own #success. Instead of getting drowned in envy, try these 4 steps to turn it into positive action: STEP 1: Pinpoint What's Making You Feel So Jealous When you feel a pang of jealousy, take a moment to figure out what it all might mean. #Reflect on what’s missing in your world. Do you wish for a better #job? Or crave healthier relationships? Let jealousy show you the way. STEP 2: Turn Jealousy Into An Opportunity To Learn From Others When there’s something I want, I’ve trained myself to shift out of “jealous lurker mode” and into “student mode.” Jealousy can be turned into motivational fuel, inspiring you to study and train more precisely, more intensely on your #skills. Or perhaps, simply try something new to achieve the result that you want. STEP 3: Recognise All Their #HardWork No one is magically good at everything. If you struggle to identify your talents and #strengths, here are 5 ways you can start identifying and appreciating your amazing self: 1. Take a life assessment Eg: a) Myerr Briggs - 16 Personalities test b) #Personality Test - Type A, B, C, or D 2 Ask your friends what your best and worst qualities are The great thing about asking a handful of trusted friends about your qualities is that they all usually say the same thing. It’s enlightening to hear different people see you in the same light and this is definitely an indicator of talent. 3 Pen out your thoughts Use your writing to look for hidden answers. What are you missing? What are you longing for? What opportunities do you wish would come through? Then, use your journal to create a list of your strengths and a list of opportunities to set new goals that are aligned with those strengths. 4 Remember what you have been thanked for When people thank us for something, they have been helped in some way. Notice what you are thanked for on the regular. Are you a good listener? A good teacher? A good motivator? All of these things are talents even though they seem small. 5 Be open to #change Know that as we age, our tastes change and our strengths grow. Be open to change means letting go of preconceived notions and honestly absorbing the world around you.
