Forgiveness: The Key To Inner Peace

FEELING angry is part of being human, but STAYING angry is SILLY. Simply because it makes us unhappy, drains us of #energy, DOESN’T right what is wrong, and it doesn’t help guide those who have wronged us on how to do better.

I get it, some people might have hurt you really badly, and you feel that they don’t deserve #forgiveness.

Know this: Forgiveness is NOT a green pass that validates their actions, it is a GIFT you are giving to yourself.

If someone wronged you on purpose, then draw a healthy BOUNDARY with them and let the past be the past. But still, you have the power to #forgive them in your heart, even if you never see them again.

Instead of holding on to pain and anger, #letitgo. Let in #innerpeace and joy into your heart because THIS MOMENT, today - is a day you’ll never get back.
So why let it be wasted with frowns on your head and anger in your heart? 🙏

3 STEPS TO FORGIVE YOURSELF OR OTHERS:

🌻1 Accept that to err is HUMAN (no one is perfect!)

🌻2 Remind yourself that being angry DRAINS you of energy, while inner peace FUELS you ✨ (I choose inner peace, what about you?✌🏼)

I used to think I was #POOR and would never be able to earn well. I had a POVERTY #MINDSET😱💸

I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth. My parents really worked hard to provide for my brother and I, to ensure we had good food to eat every day, to make sure we had a home to live in, and ensured that we had a chance to have a good education.

As I watched how they very carefully spent their money, how they would be stingy with their own needs but willingly spend on others, to how they talked about always saving and don’t ever take money for granted, it made me develop a mindset that we would never have enough #money.

I became a person who felt I didn’t deserve good things. A person who always tried to save a lot, to an extent where I would be really stingy with myself and my own needs.

Ever since I started taking little steps to break free from this #selflimitingmindset, I can confidently say that now I feel more empowered and abundant than I ever was before 🙌💰

To anyone who feels UNDERAPPRECIATED or unloved, know that YOU’RE NOT ALONE.


Many of us feel a sense of emotional pain or longing for love, but seldom talk about it because we feel ashamed to show others that we’re “weak” or fear others will misunderstand us.


Today’s message is a gentle reminder to anyone feeling emotionally down, that #wereallinthistogether!


It is OKAY to feel sad, angry, rejected, disappointed, and all other negative feelings! I feel that too sometimes. So what?


What is important to bear in mind is to FEEL it, then LET IT GO. Don’t allow it to consume you. Use that pain to make you STRONGER, WISER, and KINDER.


Very important ❗️❗️ - Be on the watch out for WOLVES🐺

Reality is, when you are emotionally vulnerable, your guard is down, and sadly, some people TAKE ADVANTAGE of others when they’re at their lowest.


The best thing you can do for yourself at moments when you are emotionally drained, is:
🌷1 TALK to someone you trust 100% (someone you know has your back all the way)

🌷2 Shift your FOCUS! Try a new hobby OR take on a new project

How To Know When To Give Others And When To Yourself

As much as you are a #GIVER who always puts others first, you won’t be able to be there for others when your own cup is DEPLETED.

When your cup is dry, that’s called #exhaustion, #dissatisfaction, and depression.

I do get it, not only are we worried that some people might peg us as “#selfish” if we put ourselves first at times, but also, it is so HARD to know when to give and when to take 🤷🏻‍♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a predicament which truth be told, there are NO hard and fast rules to follow. Each situation has to be assessed individually.

Here are some self-reflective questions to help you with your decision making:

1💡Before saying “YES” or giving, ask yourself if you are being #kind and fair to yourself.
Don’t just do it just because you feel you are a bad human being if you don’t say YES or give when asked.

2💡Ask yourself: Do you always say “NO” to this person every time they ask you for help or invite you for something? Or are there times where you DO give to this person?

#GIVEANDTAKE.

Heard this before? You probably have, but it really is quite hard to practice it, don’t you think?

“Taking” is oddly associated with so many negative connotations. That is why we find it hard to…

#TAKEtime for ourselves.
ACCEPT help from others.

Imagine this, what if you TOOK the time for yourself to #rejuvenate so that you’ll be energized to GIVE to others?
What if you ACCEPTED help to improve your circumstances, so that you’ll be able to #GIVEBACK to others in the future?

An empty lantern provides no light. Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine brightly.

Why Tackling Multiple Goals Concurrently Can Cause Failure

#Newyear, new #goals! I understand you might have a ton of goals listed out, waiting to strike them off one by one, but chill your horses my friend 🐎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Though there might be people who claim they can #multitask and achieve soooo much. Well, that might be true, but usually it is more applicable for minor tasks.
Eg: Reading the newspaper while brushing your teeth.

If you have BIG goals you wanna achieve and you want to make them happen all at ONCE, you just might be setting yourself up for disappointment.
(Sorry to burst your bubble!)

To increase your chances of hitting those goals you have on your list, here’s what you can do:

1 💡KNOW WHICH YOU WANT TO #PRIORITIZE
It is okay to first focus on 1-2 #biggoals, accompanied by several other small ones.

KIV the rest of your big goals. Pursue them after your 1-2 big goals are accomplished.

2 💡SET REALISTIC #TIME FRAMES
We’re human and we can tend to be #impatient. I understand we wish we could attain our goals like yesterday but that ain’t happening.

Whether your goal might need 6 months or 1 year or more, accept it and #plan it out carefully. Better that than beating yourself up when your expected deadline arrives and your goal is only 20% done😫
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3 💡IDENTIFY WHAT YOU CAN OUTSOURCE
Why take on all the #stress on your own? Not saying you aren’t capable of doing it all on your own, but sharing the workload gets more done in a shorter period of time 😉
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have friends or family to help you, have courage to #askforhelp.

If you can afford a freelancer to assist you with your #project, go for it!

4 💡STAY #AGILE TO #CHANGE
As you pursue your goal, unexpected CHANGES may just pop up along the way and throw you off guard.
Don’t be #disheartened. It is really normal.
