When someone has WRONGED you or when PAINFUL circumstances happen to you, how do you #LETGO, heal, and #MOVEON in life?
Some people who don’t really know my life story, might think at first, that I am kind or I'm able to talk about being #GRATEFUL for many things in my life because I’ve simply been generally ‘lucky’ in life. I wouldn’t say my life has been the worst, in comparison to anyone else, because EVERYONE goes through challenges in life in different shapes and forms, but my life definitely hasn’t always been rainbows and flowers ALL THE TIME. Reflecting on my life, whether it’s surviving physical abuse as a child, having my heart broken countless times, experiencing failed businesses, becoming nearly bankrupt, being #homeless, losing loved ones, and any other traumatic experiences that has happened in my life, the ONE thing that has helped me to NOT succumb to giving up on myself is by practicing #GRATITUDE. I’ve come to learn, that no matter how dark any given moment may be, there are ALWAYS #lessonstobelearned, #learnings that can be used to help others in the future, and above all - something to be grateful for. Practicing GRATITUDE has saved me and given me #HOPE in life, more times than I can count. What would be the opposite outcome if I DIDN’T practice gratitude? I’m talking to myself too. I’m totally fascinated and intrigued by how these beautiful, successful people live their lives. If I’m not careful, I can wind up spending hours in a day, scrolling through the lives of these people I may or may not even know, and it leaves me feeling not so great about myself. What’s your take on LIFE? Do you agree that quite often, people take the good times for granted? Only when things PASSES the point of being able to be salvaged or rectified, do people then realise what they’ve lost.
Perhaps in most cases, it isn’t that we are not appreciative, but rather, we’re so caught up in this fast paced life, solving problems, dealing with #stress from every direction, that we forget to just PAUSE and really soak in the good times. 📌FACT: No one really knows when anyone’s last day on this Earth really is. It's better to say what you need to say, do what you’ve been dreaming of doing, before the chance is not possible anymore. The two practices that helps me to consistently #appreciatepeople, little moments, blessings, and #actsofkindness is through: 💡1) MINDFUL LIVING It might sound like woo-woo nonsense talk but it really isn’t. It is an act of consciously bringing our #awareness to the NOW. Truly noticing and experiencing ALL that is happening around us, instead of just reacting to any given situation. 💡2) PRACTICING #GRATITUDE on the other hand, helps us to be #GRATEFUL for those experiences that we’ve noticed through #mindfulliving. Doing this not only help us fill our hearts with #truehappiness, but also, it helps us to attract more blessings into our lives because that is the principles of the #lawofattraction! If we want to improve the quality of our lives and live to our fullest potential, we need to eliminate these 3 #habits: 📌1 Treating every day as though it’s “just another day” A good life always begins now, when you stop waiting for a better one. Practice living an #intentionallife and focus on our true #priorities — while getting rid of meaningless drama and distractions. This helps to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our lives. 📌2 Waiting to “find” something to be passionate about The key thing to realize is that almost ANY activity can move us if we let it. We don’t need some massive, life-engulfing passion to suddenly appear in our lives. Because real passion comes from WITHIN, and the source of passion in our lives may be as simple as having a job to do — a job that feeds our family, for example — and feeling really good about doing it right. If we just wait to somehow “find our passion” somewhere outside ourselves, we might wait an eternity. 📌3 Being too close and controlling every step of the way Rather than trying to control every outcome, we have to practice #acceptance. It doesn’t mean we don’t care about improving the reality of our lives; it is realizing that the only thing we really have control over is ourselves and our thoughts about everything else.
