Do you feel that SLEEP is the bridge between #HOPE and despair, or a total waste of time?
If I’m honest, I used to view sleep as a waste of time when I was a teenager.
Why sleep when there are so many wonderful things a person could see and achieve while being AWAKE?
But this attitude has cost me to jeopardise a certain extent of my health, feel emotionally down at times, and not be able to function to my best.
I’ve learned the hard way that there is always a time and place for EVERYTHING.
Fact is, sleep is just as important as eating healthy and exercising.
Sleep is not a time when the body and mind shuts down. On the contrary, sleep is an active period in which a lot of important processing, restoration, and strengthening occurs.
Sleep helps us to solidify and consolidate memories.
⚡️Healthy sleep is critical for EVERYONE because we all need to retain information and learn skills to thrive in life.
This is partly the reason why babies and kids who acquire language, social, and motor skills at a breathtaking pace throughout their development need more sleep than adults.
No matter how stressed, lost or overwhelmed you feel, take measures to try and calm your mind to get some quality sleep.
By doing so, you'll feel much better the next day and the ANSWERS you seek, may just be that much clearer.
