🐴 You can pull a donkey to the water, but you can’t FORCE it to drink if it doesn’t want to… Probably one of the hardest #truth to swallow.
If we don’t know when to stop “making” someone realise that they should #TAKEACTION to help themselves, we risk making ourselves more #stressed and #anxious unnecessarily.
Sometimes people may not change a certain way of living or #seekhelp out of #fear, while other times, though they may complain that:
❗️Life is hard
❗️#Life is unfair
❗️No one cares about them
but the truth is - whatever pain or challenges they are facing, it is still somewhat “tolerable” for them, hence, they don’t push themselves to break free from their #comfortzones and just MAKE A #CHANGE.
This is exactly the reason why certain people:
🚫 Keep going back to #toxicrelationships
🚫 Why they keep abusing their own bodies with alcohol and drugs
🚫 Why they keep facing the same old #problems again and AGAIN
My dear friends, if you have friends, family, or colleagues who are currently going through hard times but no matter what you say or do for them, they still keep doing the SAME thing over and over, listen carefully…
Please do not sacrifice your own #mentalwellbeing at the expense of trying to help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves.
Even if you DO get them to make a change, it might be short lived because that CHANGE didn’t come from within them.
As hard as this may sound, at the end of the day, we are our OWN #savior.
If someone is hurting you, LET THEM GO.
If your environment is #toxic for you, MOVE.
If your current #habits are hindering you from achieving your #goals, QUIT COMPLAINING and CHANGE YOUR HABITS.
The only person who is going to give you security and the life you want is you🌻
